Initiatives

Mimi's Pantry

Mimi's Pantry is an on-campus food bank that is student-designed and student-ran, rooted in Social Justice. It directly confronts hunger, supports academic resilience, and cultivates leadership among the very students it serves. Check out our Instagram to see when it is open. You can find it on the third floor of Cosby.

My Sister's Closet

My Sister’s Closet is a student-led initiative dedicated to empowering Spelman students through access to essential clothing and resources. It serves as a comprehensive campus clothing closet that provides business professional, business casual, and everyday essentials at no cost.

Our mission is simple: to remove barriers, promote confidence, and foster a sense of belonging. Whether preparing for an interview, presenting in class, or simply needing day-to-day wear, students can count on My Sister’s Closet to have them covered.

The closet is sustained through the generosity of alumnae, student donations, Amazon wish-lists, and volunteer support, creating a living symbol of sisterhood and shared success. With pop-up events, style activations, and collaborations across campus, My Sister’s Closet is more than a resource—it’s a community. Check out our instagram to see when it is open. You can find it in Lower Manley next to the SGA Office.
